Unlocking Opportunity in the Convergence of Digital Health and Digital Marketing
With funding in new health tech companies at record highs and regulations around health data interoperability now in full effect, we sit at the precipice of a revolution in the way care is delivered to patients. Data and machine learning, long on the mind of healthcare marketers and providers, is poised (finally) to deliver meaningful advances in better health outcomes. In no other area of healthcare is this being realized more than in healthcare marketing. New platforms, combining the scale of the open web with privacy-focused tools that improve targeting and measurement from aggregated and anonymized health data, hold the promise to increase enrollment of rare disease patients in clinical trials, enhance patient and provider engagement, increase patient adherence and more.

The Future of HCP Engagement: New Innovations for a Shifting Dynamic
Rep access and HCP engagement are moving targets today: While only 10% of HCPs say they want to return to pre-COVID norms for in-person meetings, at the same time they’re finding pharma support services more helpful than ever before. Reimagining Marketing Strategy for Established Brands
Until now, there has been a misperception that brands that are nearing loss of exclusivity need to get “put out to pasture.” But there is still time to recognize a great deal of value in these brands, and implementing a promotional mix to optimize spend will continue to drive sales and increase brand loyalty. Further, the concept of the “mature” brand is evolving, with assets in the prime of life – but outside a developer’s core strategy – merging with later-in-life brands to become known as the Established Brand category. This blended spectrum of assets can benefit from a similar approach to extend their life and contribution to the company’s bottom line. This session will uncover how you can plan and implement a comprehensive omnichannel strategy to support these brands into their maturity with great success.

The Acceleration of Digital Health Technologies and the Impact on Adherence in a Post-Pandemic Era
As the U.S. emerges from COVID-19, in-person patient office visits and pharmaceutical company access to healthcare providers are slowly rebounding. However, we are still nowhere close to pre-COVID levels.

As behaviors have changed over the past year, in-person care may never be the same. With the acceleration and adoption of new behaviors across healthcare during the pandemic, providers, patients and life science marketers are leaning into technology solutions in new, innovative ways.

“Digital engagement” has had an even greater role, and necessary role, as the centerpiece of the commercial and marketing strategy for pharmaceutical brands, with a focus on providing integrated access to clinical resources that are critical - educational, financial and behavioral information - throughout the patients’ treatment journeys.

This talk will explore new behaviors and trends of “digital care delivery,” and the health industry’s ability to support providers at the point-of-prescription as well as patients from first fill persistency to treatment compliance, through the execution and impact of emerging digital channels.

Educational takeaways:
  • Behavior Adoption: What new provider and patient behaviors are here to stay in a post-COVID world?
  • Technology Impact: How Pharmaceutical brands are supporting providers in the EHR (Electronic Health Record) at point-of-prescription and impacting patients shortly after the point-of-prescription to maintain healthy treatment journeys.
  • Measurement: What are real-world examples from providers that are leveraging point-of-care digital engagement to drive first fill, including new-to-brand and returning-to-brand fill impact, providing patients with the information they need to impact adherence?
  • Looking ahead: What is next for non-personal strategies for targeted personalized patient-centric engagement.

Precision Targeting: Finding and Reaching High-Quality Patient Audiences
We've all heard the old adage "quality over quantity," but when it comes to patient audiences, it's particularly true. It doesn't matter how many people you reach if those people aren't part of your target patient group--and identifying those target patients is only set to get trickier with the introduction of new privacy measures, including the loss of third-party cookies. This panel will explore why pharma marketers should be focused on finding the right patients, and why prioritizing higher-quality engagements as a KPI of campaign success will lead to higher-quality results and measurement outcomes. We’ll also explore ways marketers can reduce waste and get their messages to clinically relevant patients—even as privacy restrictions shake up the digital media landscape.
